Oum-el Fahem: The Resilient draws inspiration from Palestine's long-standing agricultural heritage, particularly its almond cultivation. This candle pays tribute to the Oum-el Fahem almond, renowned for its size, soft shell, and rich flavour. A symbol of strength and resilience, these almonds have flourished in the region for centuries. Originally grown in Syria, it was brought to Palestine by a man named Hassan al-Assad, it produces well under dry, arid conditions and rocky terrains.

The Oum-el Fahem candle brings together a beautiful balance of fruity and earthy aromas. Initially, you’ll be greeted by the fresh, sweet notes of peach - a nod to Gaza's harvest, infused with a hint of cardamom. As it burns, the rich scent of Palestine’s almond harvest emerges, adding a sweet depth. With a full burn, the candle reveals its grounding base of earthy leather, musk, and saffron, creating a warm and comforting finish.

We chose to use a premium blend of rapeseed and coconut wax for this candle, ensuring an eco-friendly, natural burn with excellent scent throw. The wax is non-GMO, soy and palm-free, with no added chemicals or additives. It is also vegan, halal, and kosher certified.

Burn: Approx. 45 hours

Safety: All instructions will be on the base of the jar. We recommend a burn of 3-4 hours minimum. Ensure the top is completely melted the first time before blowing out to avoid pooling.
