Syria or Sham is a historical region located east of the Mediterranean Sea in West Asia, broadly synonymous with the Levant. The Shami keffiyeh, also known as the Syrian Shemagh, is a distinguished piece in the Hebron keffiyeh collection. Traditionally worn in neighbouring Arabic countries, this keffiyeh symbolises a rich cultural heritage.
The ongoing civil war in Syria has sadly diminished keffiyeh production there, but this Palestinian made keffiyeh serves as a tribute to our brotherhood in Syria and Iraq. This keffiyeh is an ode to Palestinian and Syrian shared history, culture, and resilience as one people.
By wearing the Shami keffiyeh, you express solidarity and support for those fighting for freedom and justice, carrying the spirit of unity and resilience with you wherever you go.
Read before buying: We source our keffiyeh from Al-khalil, Hebron. These keffiyehs proudly bear the original Arabic label. Given their handmade nature, some minor variations should be expected—such as slight differences in weaving thickness, difference in tassels compared to the images online, the finish on the label. Occasional loose threads may also be present, but these can be easily trimmed without causing any harm to the keffiyeh.
